I am Edison Peguero Rosario a 3rd year mechanical engineering student with a minor in computer science studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My particular interests are:
Renewable energy- With growing societies and ever-evolving technology that are more energy hungry than ever before, finding how we will meet the world's energy needs, while not continuously aiding to climate change, is one of the most important problems of this century, and I wish to be a part of the solution.
Robotics- Robotics was my first passion and what pulled me into mechanical engineering. Whether making humanoid robots or soft robotics, the field continuously has to face some of the hardest problems in mechanical engineering. This is what draws me into the field as it requires high level understanding of fundamental engineering principles with grit, immeasurable creativity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. This is everything I hoped for in doing when first deciding to study mechanical engineering.
Product Design- Product design is truly a beautiful integration of engineering and working to meet a user's needs. From working at multiple restaurants and retail stores, I have come to realized I love working with others to help meet their needs to the highest extent. Also, from all my past experience, there is truly nothing as rewarding as looking at your initial and final product and seeing how far you and your product have come.
